http://i.imgur.com/nsigbtB.jpg is the candidates. Chair is voted by the members themselves once they start so you won't find that out until that happens.
http://i.imgur.com/QX4zvTj.jpg is the voting totals. 10k votes down from last year.

There's the official CCP list, in alphabetical order. Mynnna and Ripard Teg won the top 2 spots and the only confirmed seats to each Summit. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? The one thing in life you can count on is not being able to count on Test :v
Still way more bloc candidates than FPTP and no Chair vote would have given, though. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. If you cant have a grown up conversation then leave the thread[" |

He was dead right about the pathetic turnout.
corebloodbrothers wrote:would be nice to see the actual voted numbers, are they releasing those ?
They're going to release anonymized ballots so anyone interested can vet the results and make sure the results are sound. There's no actually voted numbers though, since once a candidate gets enough votes to win a seat in STV, their votes go elsewhere. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? Friggz wrote:The important thing is the system worked. For the bluster from the null sec blocks about how they'd take 12 seats, the CSM we got has a good amount of variety, and it managed that even without a huge turnout.
I'd say it's proved itself a success.
THE SYSTEM IS A SUCCESS
*barely enough candidates even run* *loses 10,000 votes even with CCP actually trying to promote the election for once*
That's Trebor Logic if I've ever heard it ;) "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. If you cant have a grown up conversation then leave the thread[" |

This CSM is less diverse than last year. Candidacy dropped hugely from past years (even counting the deadzone pre-CSM 5 years). Votes dropped by 10k. And yet, this is a success because some wildly optimistic (and quite frankly stuipid) predictions about 10+ null candidates didn't happen?
You're straight into delusion territory at this point. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. If you cant have a grown up conversation then leave the thread[" |

None ofthe Above wrote:I doubt that conclusion. It'll be interesting to run an analysis of FPTP with everyone's first pick though. That would be the closest approximation to a comparison of FPTP and STV.
Actually a closer approximation might have been last year when, you know, major blocs backed 1 candidate each.

Sure doesn't explain the far smaller pool of candidates that ran this year. Unless of course you don't think far fewer candidates running plus a sizable drop in voting turnout means that the perception is that CSM 7 was a net negative for players. If that's the case, post with your CSM 7 main I guess? "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. Is this copied and pasted from a Frying Doom post? You've got the same "make an incorrect/childish assumption about A Thing and then frame an entire argument based on that wrong assumption" thing going that he does. Ali Aras wrote:Interestingly, you likely would have had a lot better luck this year with your candidates.
Assuming of course they could even find a candidate in this year's group. Pickings were pretty slim if you weren't in a null bloc. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? Indahmawar Fazmarai wrote:Please tell, what is the business case for the CSM? Enlighten me with a non-incorrect and non-childish assumption.
Unpaid consultants with a minor PR poost for the CSM existing. The former is the most important of the bunch, though, the latter is just a nice side benefit. Indahmawar Fazmarai wrote:And how many players? All of them? Most of them? Only the little few ones who lobby for the privilege of being consulted rather than face some blind decissions made without them?
Whichever players decide to bother. The bar for entry has always been really low, even moreso with STV. You just actually have to be willing to speak to people, as opposed to pitching a fit and demanding your share as if you're entitled to it by default.
Indahmawar Fazmarai wrote:Which could lead the unrepresented players away from the game for no reason, even if they were the majority of subscribers?
They're consultants, not bosses. CCP's dime, CCP's final word at the end of the day. If they were going to disregard "the majority of subscribers" as you put it, they would be doing it with or without the CSM. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. Indahmawar Fazmarai wrote:When I say polls i am thinking of polls like the ones done for RL elections. You don't seat and wait people to come and answer, you get their data, split them in demographic groups, and engage them actively by phone, mail or on the streets..
The only reason anyone does this in RL is to get elected. You realize that, right? The only information any of those polls seek is "what do I need to say to you to get you to vote for me instead of the other person?".
I'd also wager that most every candidate that was elected (and some who weren't) did exactly this. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. If you cant have a grown up conversation then leave the thread[" |

Dunno, why ARE you here? You seem to be going out of your way to say that you don't like multiplayer gameplay, and yet you're subscribed to a MMO. If there was ever a case where "maybe this game isn't for you" applies, this is it. "Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone.
